Change
Being a #HauteMom means different things to different people. For me, it is synonymous with an outlook, a personal choice to see the a brighter side of things. We are embarking upon the winter holidays, as Halloween is Friday. The weather is changing, the air is more crisp, the decorations are going up, and the moods and mindsets of people around us are in transition. So, are you ready for change?
Change comes in different ways. Sometimes we see it coming; other times we do not. Sometimes we can shift accordingly; some changes are still taking their toll. But one thing we must realize is that, whether good or bad, change is inevitable. It happens to everyone at some point in time. But what does it mean for #HauteMoms?
For #HauteMoms, it has everything to do with the way we handle changes. It has to do with the attitude we embody while going through transitions. Here are a few things to consider when going through changes:

For #HauteMoms, it has everything to do with the way we handle changes. It has to do with the attitude we embody while going through transitions. Here are a few things to consider when going through changes:
- Control: ask yourself, "Truthfully, is this something I can control? Maybe not, but I do have control over me and my emotions. It is my job to make sure that I am okay. And if I can't do that, then I need to ask for help."
- Communicate: be honest. If you need help, ask. If you want to spend time with someone, tell them. If you need a sitter, call and ask. If you need some money, go to a real bank and get a loan (#grownpeopleish). Seriously, a closed mouth never gets fed.
- Care: never stop caring for yourself and others. By caring, I mean nurturing. Never stop attending to your basic needs. Maintain a healthy lifestyle, stay mindful of your diet by eating whatever you like in moderation, and make sure you stay hydrated with water. Take a bath instead of a shower one day. Take yourself to a movie or out to eat. Take some "me" time. And by caring for yourself, you will find it a little easier to care for others.
- Continue: do not stop doing what you need to do. Discipline is an attribute that separates the BEST from the rest. Even when things get tough, get up and start all over again. Yes, you can.
Seasons change. Life happens. People change. There is nothing we can do about it. But we do have the privilege to choose how we go through them. Be encouraged. And remember, #hautemomsrock!
